Kelly Matsuura grew up in Victoria, Australia, but has lived most of her adult life in the northern hemisphere: in China, Japan, and now Michigan, USA. She majored in Asian Studies and Japanese at university, and currently studies Chinese, German, French and Spanish for fun.
Kelly has published numerous short stories online, in group anthologies, and in two self-published anthologies. She enjoys writing fantasy, literature, young adult, romance, and a combination of these genres.
Her stories, Hell’s Village and The Banshee Initiate, are published here on Visibility Fiction. She has also contributed guest posts and was a judge for the recent teen writing contest. She has joined Holly on the quest to promote inclusive teen (and adult) fiction and has published a group anthology of Japanese fantasy stories, called Insignia Vol 1.
